Donald Trump confirmed to Laura Ingraham that former Hawaii Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard is on his shortlist to be vice president.
Then the news broke that Gabbard would keynote a fundraiser at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate for the 917 Society to “celebrate the Constitution.”
Trump met privately with Gabbard about their shared America First foreign policy and how to reorganize the Pentagon in a second term to staff it with conservatives who would work to advance Trump’s agenda.
“Trump met with Gabbard at least once in person last year. She has often shared Trump’s approach toward the world in his post-presidency, according to advisers who like others spoke on the condition of anonymity to disclose private details. Gabbard and Trump and his team have discussed military entanglements overseas and Trump’s frustrations with Republicans on foreign policy. Trump advisers also hope Gabbard — who serves in the Army Reserve — could appeal to independent voters in a general election, one person familiar with the strategy said, and advocate his military policies,” the Washington Post exclusively reported.
Gabbard is clearly high on the list of potential Trump running mates.
This is something no one would have expected in 2020 when Gabbard ran for president as a Democrat.
But Gabbard and Trump have much in common.
Like Trump, Hillary Clinton also smeared Gabbard as a Russian agent because Gabbard – like Trump – opposed Clinton’s push for war with Russia over Syria back in the 2016 election.
Gabbard also left the Democrat Party in 2022 announcing the party left her by embracing anti-white racism in the form of critical race theory and Joe Biden’s reckless war to secure the border in Ukraine while leaving America open to invasion.
In a video posted to social media Gabbard blasted the Democrat Party as an “elitist cabal of warmongers driven by cowardly wokeness, who divide us by racializing every issue & stoke anti-white racism.”
Gabbard then endorsed pro-Trump candidates like Kari Lake and JD Vance.
Donald Trump is looking for a vice president who will be loyal to him and his agenda.
Gabbard and Trump are sympatico on foreign policy as both oppose the globalist agenda of endless wars overseas and securing the Ukrainian border before America’s.
As a veteran who served with distinction in the Iraq War who can also communicate an America First policy platform in an appealing and normal manner, Gabbard could help Trump win over the suburban voters who drifted from Trump in 2020 but are hesitant to vote again for Joe Biden because of his cognitive impairment.
