Megyn Kelly Says Trump’s Loyal Base Is His Secret Weapon in 2024

Megyn Kelly broke down the state of the 2024 race.

It spelled bad news for the D.C. swamp.

Megyn Kelly revealed the one big advantage that guarantees Trump’s victory in 2024.

As American Patriot Daily reports:

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is Donald Trump’s top opposition for the GOP nomination.

DeSantis just launched his campaign and DeSantis wants conservatives to see him as the fighter who can take on the left and deliver victory.

But DeSantis’s campaign stumbled out of the gate with a glitch-filled launch during a Twitter Spaces event with Elon Musk.

DeSantis’s strength as a candidate is his record as governor.

In Florida, DeSantis banned COVID mandates – after initially supporting lockdowns – signed a bill that protected life after six weeks, took on woke corporations, and banned critical race theory and gender identity brainwashing from schools.

However, Kelly detected a weakness.

Kelly was put off by DeSantis’s presentation as the Florida governor failed to generate an emotional connection with his audience.

“Perhaps the worst offense was that through all of this, I didn’t laugh or connect with the candidate even once. And this is a guy whose policies – most of them anyway – I support. He didn’t crack a joke at his own expense. He didn’t say something that touched me about America or the troubles we’re going through. He didn’t even tap into the righteous anger so many of us are feeling that has inspired many of *his* policies in Florida! Maybe he doesn’t have that gene,” Kelly stated.

Kelly acknowledged that DeSantis’s strength is his record in office, but that Trump also has a strong record of conservative achievement.

Trump’s advantage – Kelly explained – is the fact that somewhere between 30-40 percent of the GOP bonded emotionally with Trump and would walk through fire to vote for him.

DeSantis does not create that level of enthusiasm among voters and since DeSantis trails Trump by 30 points in the polls, Trump’s loyal base could keep DeSantis from closing the gap.

“Maybe he’s just a pen-and-paper guy who will pass the right legislation and that’s enough of a blessing. But he’s up against a man whose voters love him. Who’s up over DeSantis right now by anywhere from 30 to 45 points!… It’s true adoration, loyalty, and love between Donald Trump and his base voters – the ones DeSantis has been trying to woo,” Kelly concluded.

Trump cultivated a relationship with his voters during the 2016 campaign.

As a political outsider Trump spoke for the millions of Americans the political elites betrayed through open borders, trade deals that shipped their jobs overseas, and the endless working-class children who went off to fight.

When Trump became president, the Deep State tried to stage a coup through multiple hoaxes involving Russian collusion and Ukraine to try and overthrow Trump and overturn the results of the election.

Trump’s voters stuck by his side because they saw the system trying to exercise their veto power over their ability to pick their own leaders in free and fair elections.

That bond still exists today.

And Megyn Kelly thinks it is Trump’s number-one advantage in the race against DeSantis.
