Tucker Carlson Exposes How Ukraine Government Is Banning Christian Churches

But liberal elites want revenge against Russian President Vladimir Putin due to the unhinged conspiracy theory that Trump colluded with Moscow to steal the 2016 election from Hillary Clinton.

Joe Biden’s sent $130 billion in taxpayer money to the failing war effort.

And now Biden has demanded Congress send America $60 billion further in the red to fund the war for another year.

Carlson wants Americans to know who is getting their hands on that money.

To that end, Carlson invited attorney Bob Amsterdam on his “Tucker on X” show.

Amsterdam represents the Ukrainian Orthodox Church which Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky shut down.

The media and Biden paint a picture of Zelensky as a 21st century version of America’s Founding Fathers fighting the battle for democracy against autocracy.

But the truth is more complicated as Amsterdam revealed Zelensky targeted a Christian church for political persecution.

Zelensky threw priests in jail and banned religious services due to his belief that this church didn’t support his war effort.

“The politicians in Ukraine, including perhaps the president, want to take the populist vote of those behind this new church and therefore feel it is in their political interest to destroy this ancient branch of Christianity,” Amsterdam declared. “And I absolutely can tell you that the damage that has been visited on the leadership of this church, including five year jail sentences for 75-year-old clerics, just astounds you that in the 21st century, a country that wants to join the EU would ban a religion, let alone an ancient Christian form of that religion.”

“These charges are on their face political charges,” Amsterdam continued.

Amsterdam told Carlson not even the emergency power the Ukrainian government granted Zelensky during war time allowed him to jail priests and ban entire religious denominations.

“There is no basis under the Ukrainian constitution, or under international law or the laws of war or Ukraine’s own resolution in terms of limited rights during the war for the banning of a religious denomination,” Amsterdam stated, decrying Zelensky’s power grab as “beyond anything acceptable.”

Amsterdam expressed regret that under Joe Biden the United States looked the other way on the suppression of a Christian church in Ukraine.

The lawyer argued the Ukrainian Orthodox Church has nothing to do with the Russian Orthodox Church – which is essentially an adjunct of the Putin regime – stating that the two churches have different liturgies and speak different languages.

“It is shocking to me that a country such as the United States, with such strong Christian leadership, I thought, could allow this to go on,” Amsterdam concluded. “Because what the Ukrainians try to tell you that it’s the same religion, this OCU church, is the same religion. But in fact, my clients, the church I represent, their prayers are in Church Slavonic, their liturgy is different. And I can tell you as somebody who is not a youngster, were somebody to come into my church or synagogue and change the language and change the leadership, I would be horrified.”

Congress is facing a major debate about Joe Biden’s request to send $60 billion in taxpayer money to Ukraine.

Conservatives who would like to see Biden concern himself with securing the United States southern border will look at this story and wonder why the Ukrainian government continues to enjoy the largesse of the U.S. taxpayer.
