The lawless Biden administration reached a new low.
White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre was the one on the hot seat.
And Karine Jean-Pierre broke one law and you won’t believe what happened next.
As Great American Daily reports:
The Office of Special Counsel formally sent a letter to press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre and deputy press secretary Andrew Bates informing them that they violated the Hatch Act by their use of the term “MAGA” Republicans while in official capacity saying their use of the term ran “contrary” to the letter of the law.
The Hatch Act prevents government employees from engaging in partisan political activities while on the clock.
Jean-Pierre is a repeat offender of Hatch Act violations.
In the run-up to last year’s midterm elections the Office of Special Counsel reprimanded Jean-Pierre for using the term “mega MAGA Republicans” in her capacity as press secretary.
This past June, the Office of Special Counsel issued guidance explaining why administration officials couldn’t use the term “MAGA” or “MAGA Republicans” while in official capacity due to it being the slogan for a leading presidential candidate, Donald Trump.
“MAGA remains the campaign slogan of a current candidate for partisan political office, and therefore, its use constitutes political activity. This is true regardless of whether the slogan is used positively or negatively to describe—e.g., MAGA officials, MAGA Republicans, MAGA policies, or MAGA Members of Congress. Accordingly, federal employees should not use ‘MAGA’ or ‘Make America Great Again’ while on duty, in the workplace, or when acting in their official capacity, including communicating through social media, email, or on government websites,” the guidance read.
But liberals believe being a Democrat means the rules don’t apply to them in the two-tiered system of justice they set up in America.
And just to drive the point home Jean-Pierre spit out the phrase “hardcore MAGA” in a press briefing just one week after the Office of Special Counsel published their guidance.
Bates also flouted the rules in a memo ranting that the GOP’s “main economic agenda item” is “MAGA tax welfare for the richest Americans and giant corporations, at the expense of continuing to grow our economy by investing in America.”
Nothing will happen to Jean-Pierre and Bates.
The Hatch Act contains penalties up to the removal from federal employment and a fine of not more than $1,000.
It’s a largely symbolic piece of legislation designed to give off the impression that federal bureaucrats and administration officials are doing the people’s work and not working towards the ends of their political party.
But Democrats feel like they can violate that law – or any law with impunity – because they understand that in the end, the system will protect them because the career bureaucrats who staff the government and actually make sure the wheels turn are all their ideological allies.
