Joe Biden has dismal poll numbers.
Donald Trump could very well reclaim the White House.
And a White House insider says Democrats have a plan B to make Michelle Obama the nominee.

Polls of the key battlegrounds taken by New York Times/Siena and Business Insider/Morning Consult find Donald Trump leading Joe Biden across the board.
If the current state of the race remains on course Trump would defeat Biden winning well over 300 Electoral College votes.
Democrats view any election they don’t win as illegitimate and an existential threat to democracy.
And that is especially true since Donald Trump’s win in 2016 broke their brains.
A CNN poll found more than 70 percent of voters don’t think Biden is mentally capable of continuing on as president.
The Real Clear Politics polling aggregate shows under 40 percent of Americans approve of Biden’s handling of the economy.
And just 26 percent think he’s doing a good job at the border.
Former Trump White House adviser Peter Navarro wrote in a Washington Times op-ed that Democrats aren’t willing to roll the dice that Biden can turn things around in 2024.
Navarro wrote that Democrats will ask Joe Biden to announce he isn’t running for re-election and that if he refuses the press will turn on him in a daily attack campaign with the goal of pressuring Biden out of the race.
“If Mr. Biden still resists this pressure, key leaders within his party and the legacy media will take Mr. Biden down and thereby clear the path for a fresh ticket. They fear a new Trump presidency as surely as Brutus put the knife to Caesar,” Navarro stated.
Navarro explained that Democrats will wait until the last possible moment to execute this plan which can only happen at the convention.
To make it work, Democrats need an uncontested nominating race which is why state parties in Florida and North Carolina essentially called off their primaries.
At the convention, Navarro states, Democrats will turn to the one candidate who can unite the party and squelch any bad feelings about tossing Biden overboard and not opening the contest to other contenders.
And that would be none other than Michelle Obama.
There is just one other piece to the puzzle and that is delicately stage-managing the end of Kamala Harris’s career in electoral politics.
As the sitting vice president, Harris would have a claim to be next in line.
But every Democrat knows Harris is even more toxic than Biden and stands zero chance of winning a national election.
Navarro contends Democrats can buy Harris off by promising her an appointment to the Supreme Court.
“Instead, Kamala will agree to go quietly into the same bad night as her boss. The quid pro quo will be the promise of dibs on the next Supreme Court vacancy,” Navarro wrote.
The 2024 election already is playing out like nothing the American people have ever seen with the sitting president making jailing his leading opponent the centerpiece of his campaign.
A switch at the top of a major party ticket would be unprecedented in any other year.
But 2024 seems like the one election cycle when nothing is out of bounds.
